worked because it addressed the speci?¬? c problems I was trying to solve and because I could build it
quickly and easily.
About the Author
Nikita Mikros is CEO and Lead Game Designer for Tiny Mantis Entertainment. Tiny Mantis creates o eat
games primarily for the Web, including The Mosquito Project, where you suck blood to save the world; Kong
Fu Monkey, an adventure game in episodes; and THUGS!, a tabletop and electronic card game. Prior to
Tiny Mantis, he was Cofounder and Lead Game Designer at Black Hammer Game. He served as Technical
Director and Lead Programmer for the award winning Game Boy Advance title I-Spy Challenger. Prior to
Black Hammer, he joined with John Mikros in 1997 to found Flying Mikros Interactive, a creator of electronic
entertainment for the Internet and of graphics and entertainment so ware for the Macintosh and PC.
Their PC game, The Egg Files, was selected as one of ten ?¬? nalists in the 2002 Independent Games Festival.
In addition, Mr. Mikros has taught various programming and game design classes in the MFA Computer Art
Department at the School of Visual Arts for the past 12 years.
